Safai Coffee Shop

When Mike and Medora Safai stumbled into the coffee world, they they lit a spark of passion for exploration that would soon become a driving force in their continued pursuit of perfection in the craft. In 1998, the couple opened their first store in Louisville, Kentucky. The 72 square foot drive-thru kiosk was a humble beginning, but it was inside of that kiosk that the Safais’ built a curiosity for coffee into a love for it. Rather than forcing coffee to suit them, the Safais’ learned to understand and adapt their roasting techniques to the strengths and depths of each individual bean.
